Well, the weather is beautiful in Central Texas this morning and we were able to get a photo shoot in... this time with the correct plane!

We agreed to meet over the dam at Canyon Lake at sunrise. The problem was, the sun came up and promptly went behind the clouds. One pass around the lake and it came back out again though, so I was only panicked for a few minutes.

Jack, what's the rule of looking at the camera versus not looking at the camera for the pilots in the photographed plane?

If it’s formation, you’d BETTER be looking at the lead ship. That’s one of the first rules of formation flying.

I was lucky enough to come up with @RudyP for some air to air photos .. and you definitely feel how "close" you are to the other ship so everyone's got their eyes on each other for safety. I also think it looks bad a$$ to be frank

100%

Even in the Star Wars canyon shots always pretty cool when the pilot is looking at the photographer:

Pretty much what these guys said! You’re depending on us to keep you safe from other planes & obstacles, your job is just to fly off of us. I’ve heard it said that if the lead Blue Angel flew into a mountain, the rest would too and would never see it coming.

Sadly the Thunderbirds diamond basically did just that years back in the T-38s.

Very nice, as usual. I'll be calling sometime this summer to schedule a photoshoot for my Arrow.

Boy I miss my 68 Arrow...nice work as always...
