This time the owner's cousin wanted photos of him flying the plane. Sounded like fun to me and we were off!

And I always thought it interesting how Grumman monopolized on N#'s ending in Lima

Thanks. I know on Cessna 120s and 140s, Cessna grabbed a long string of N-Numbers in a row. On Luscombes, you can tell a lot about the plane by the range of the N-Number.

Come on, open that canopy! :D
He said he felt like opening it and putting out his hands to slow him down! Pretty quick plane when flying with me!

I'm sure it must be like the Tiger which allows opening it partially (about 8 inches - it has a "Do not open in flight beyond this point placard). Problem is, it wants to close on its own so you have to rig something to keep it open. Great on hot days.

Yep, has the same placard.

Nice photos. Should have cleaned off the dash.

Awesome photos! Love the paint job on it, thanks for sharing!

Great pics! Love the paint. There's always something a little weird to me when I see the pilot looking directly at the camera. Can't explain it.

What camera/lens were you using?

I don't recall having that problem. In my case, the aircraft were only a few years old when I flew them, I imagine most of them have loosened up in the last 35 years.
