Finally got a chance to get in the air with Cody and Michelle in their Cessna 182. They've put a lot of work into this plane and it's pretty impressive.

The green theme is terrific. Especially in the cockpit, with green labels on the panel and green stitching even on the yoke. Green gas caps are a nice touch on the exterior.

Yes. Cowl flaps are open for takeoff and climb, then closed for cruise.

Or open in cruise if you need to cool the engine, like when we're flying down low on a very hot day. Mine were open on my photo ship 182 during this shoot.

That was where I was heading with my comment lol. I figured it was a little warm down low this time of year and temps may creep up a bit without cowl flaps open.

Did the cabin air/ cabin heat knobs start out black? Mine are off white though I guess that’s easier to see in the dark

I think they all came in off-white.

Green is supposedly bad luck on a race car, so naturally I had to pick out a green scheme for one of mine.

I love the scheme. It's different but not too out there. The interior is icing on the cake

I never knew that. Pic below from Buick GS Nationals in 2001 (I won my class that year and runner-upped in 2002). Paint is a mid-1980s GM color called Emerald Mist if I remember right.
