If anyone in the Denver area is interested in helping out we are still looking for volunteers on Friday and Saturday all day and Sunday morning (June 19, 20, 21).
I'm the one who is in charge of rounding up volunteers to help with the pre-race inspections. You do not need to be an A&P to help. Basically all we are doing is seeing if the airplane has its proper paperwork and if it is indeed the airplane listed on the application form. We are also marking the attach points of the engine and prop to make sure that people aren't changing them enroute. We are doing these inspections on Friday June 19 from 9 to 5, Saturday June 20 from 9 to 4:30 and Sunday Jund 21 from 10 to noon. If you are interested send me a PM or an e-mail to everskyward at earthlink dot net. Here is a link to the race site. http://www.airraceclassic.org/09raceinfoDo you have more info on this? a link?
