AIM-FAR APP Recomendation

Taking some Wings seminars these next few months that require I have and AIM-FAR on hand.. may as well go electronic on this as well..

Saw a few APPS, Jeppesen, ASA, and a few cheapeis... any recommendations on what yo have been using...

The AIM is in PDF for free at

The FARs, on the other hand, are regulatory and can change. However you can get the latest snapshot at

You could probably get by with just Parts 1-199. The other option is your original question - which one should I pay for? I've got the ASA version, no particular reason.

I've found FAR / AIM in apps to be worthless.. the free links murphey stated work great. Buy a hard copy for your practical test, learn it and then watch the "Whats changed" links the FAA publishers to track how it changed and save yourself 10 bucks and a few trees or the hassle of trying to read it on a phone/tablet where the temptation to surf the web or sit on forums prevails

I get the latest AIM as part of my Foreflight subscription, so it's always the most current version. For FAR's, I go to the FAA RGL Home page to get the most up-to-the-minute version.
