Goole Maps Link to Grissom, AFB

This is a google maps picture of part of the ramp area at Grissom, AFB, in IN. I think they now run KC-135 re-fuling guard unit out of there - but this sure looks like where bombers would have been parked and ready to go back in the day.

Anyone in the know care to elaborate on it?

Back in the late 50's, the base used to operate B-47's under the 323rd Fighter-Bomber Wing. The base also hosted the 319th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, which was a fighter squadron operating F-94's. It was known as a composite wing, so was made up of fighters/bombers.:blueplane:

I can't quote the exact years, but Grissom, aka. Bunker Hill, AFB also operated B-58 Hustlers. I know a guy that was stationed there in the machine shop.
