ADS-B Traffic Out...Can someone please help me understand?

Either do it properly, or not at all! Put down the toys and look outside the window please.

Unfortunately I did not realize how inadequate looking out the window is for avoidance. I have just installed ADS_B out (GDL88), and I only saw perhaps 30% of the traffic within 2 miles of my aircraft. It is a bit scary and I will install the out of my 172 as well because we could not see so many aircraft.
