Absolutes in Aviation

My primary instructor always said "Don't do nothing stupid."

I believe in the ten percent rule, we are all stupid idiots at least ten percent of the time, or ten percent our lives.

Ten percent of any given group are complete idiots ten percent of the time.

Put another way, nobody is perfect....don't beat the siht out of yourself when you experience your daily ten percent phase.

It is probably best to get your daily ten percent dose of idiotism out of the way before you attempt your landing.

Clearly, #1 is FTFA. #2 for me is to learn from the mistakes of others because I won't live long enough to make them all myself.

"The sky is NOT the limit. The ground is."

"A good landing is when you can walk away. A GREAT landing is when you can walk away and reuse the airplane."

Fear is the mind-killer.

Found this picture a while back that expresses that perfectly. Best placard I've ever seen in an airplane (or a picture of one).
