If you own an airplane and a portable O2 system...

Consider bringing the bottle home.

It ain’t much but it’s stupid to be in respiratory distress with an O2 bottle sitting in your hangar.

You also don’t need a prescription to fill an aviation bottle. Get Er Done.

Great idea...mine needs to be refilled, haven’t used it in over a year. Of course trying to get it filled right now is interesting. FTG....er...CFO is shut down except for 2 people. Haven’t checked with APA lately. Might be a good project for sometime this week.

Depends if you like the "mustache" style or the little round one that hangs down. Check the Aerox (https://www.aerox.com/category-s/157.htm) and Skyox (http://www.skyox.com/cannulainstructions) websites. You can also get the on-demand type.

Or if you don't want the reservoir version, any medical supply shop will sell the hose and nose piece.

I was thinking about that... Unfortunately, my O2 system is not portable, it's part of the airplane. But if push comes to shove... I'll sit in the airplane. I have a space heater in there... Getting food delivered would be difficult. Hopefully my wife loves me enough to bring me food if I get to that point. XD

Good idea. I have my welding O2 bottle and I've got an expired aluminum O2 bottle that I used in the Aztec. Good thoughts - haven't gotten them filled but I'm pretty sure AirGas and Praxair are considered essential.

The wife and I were talking about this last night. I only have 2 oximizer cannulas ut do have a pack of 8 regular ones. I'm gonna call the fbo and get a fill.

The downside is even set low like 0.5lpm and using a oximizer these bottles will last in the hours range vs days. But I bought the damn thing so why not have it topped off.
