I fly a Skywagon, personally I don't think they are hard to handle. I bought mine with about 150hrs total time, 67 tailwheel. The instructor I hired to fly it home with me said he never helped me with any take offs or landings, I never felt him on the controls. I've now got about 350 hours in it and about 500 tailwheel.
People wreck them all the time, its sad, there aren't that many of them out there. But, that one doesn't look too bad, I've seen ones wrecked worse than that get rebuilt.
