I think it's clear that California should ban Bluetooth devices.

I was behind a vehicle going to work the other day the guy had a flip down TV going (up front), no passengers and was on his cell phone.
Do we really need that much entertainment to go from point A to point B?

About every third vehicle has some twit diddling with their phone or some othere BS junk in their car. I love the ones that come bombing up the inside of you out on the highway, cut left, then goes heads down as he starts slowing down to get on their phone. Personally, they should ban use of any electronic device by the driver while the vehicle is in drive. Phones, cameras, radios, ipods, gps... all of them. Hands free don't help a wit since the twit still has to dial the damned device.I see drivers messing with their phones pretty much every time I drive. It's far to common and it's not kids I see doing it, my observation is it's typically adults. I've made a habit of laying on the horn when I see it and I'm not sure if anyone has ever noticed when I do that.
I see plenty of choices that are preferable to the road.
We need to ban boring cars. I rarely even have music playing when I drive.I was behind a vehicle going to work the other day the guy had a flip down TV going (up front), no passengers and was on his cell phone.

The road is not flat or smooth either. It has cars on it. If you choose the road you're basically saying you'll choose to put bystanders at risk in order to try and lessen the damage to your airplane. Please, do tell. I know the area very well, and fly over it probably 3-5 times a week. I'm betting from that pic you're looking at the open space beyond the freeway. That area is anything but flat or smooth. The photo makes it look like a nice open field, but really it's very hilly and rough. Monday morning quarterback all you like, but if my engine quits on the way home from F70 you'll find my mooney on I15.
I doubt it was the pilot or the plane designer's intent to kill someone. But that's what happened. For the car? Yes. It's still a "success" per the design intent. You can't always predict the actions of others or quality of another product, but you can try to make YOUR product or outcome safe.

Not if you have a droid.Hands free don't help a wit since the twit still has to dial the damned device.
