For the first time in many years, to the accompaniment of a pizza, we watched the Godfather on DVD last night.
I had actually forgotten what a well-made movie that was. And most satisfying of all, the famous baptism L-cut at the end. Ahh. Moe Green putting on his glasses on the massage table only to get offed with a shot through the eye! (Would leaving his glasses off have saved him?) And that sleaze ball Carlo, getting garroted in the car. Death by shotgun. Death by Tommy Gun. Death by handgun. All good clean American fun
