From a friend's Facebook post:

"Today was a airport fun day for friend Don Kirkland and his wife Dianne. Don is a retired missionary pilot/pastor who hadn't been in an airplane in about five years. I worked it out with another friend and fellow EAA1211 member Ed Benson, who volunteered to fly Don around. They took off from City of Blairsville Airport, flew around Lake Nottely, flew out to Copper Hill Airport where Ed keeps his plane and flew back. Ed let Don fly the plane most of the way back. I think it's safe to say that Don was in his glory!"

Got Don settled in the back:

Again, nothing much better than sharing the joy of flight with someone who truly appreciates it!

Good job, look like everyone was happy. Always fun to take friends flying.

My mom was born in Blairsville and we lived in Homer City while my Dad was in Vietnam. A great place and you did good.

As pilots we get caught up in the minutia of flying these things but the basics always remain the same. We love to fly. If you love to fly like most pilots do from the time they are very young, then that's all it takes to have a beutiful flight.

Glad everyone had fun!

Cool. Those Sky Arrows look like fun. Like a little Huey Cobra.
