Hi all

Just want to share a picture of my 1946 Danish built KZ-II Trainer. It was used after second world war to educate Spitfire pilots in the Royal Danish Air Force. Only 2 is left and this one was restored back to original status in a more than 30 years restoration process. Engine and air frame has after overhaul only 40 hrs on it since it came airborne again in 2009 :)

It cruises at 100 - 115 knots, has an vne of 188 knots. It is fully aerobatic. + 6 - 4

Probably one of the most beautiful planes of its kind :) notice its slim curves and design.

Looks like it's an implementation of a DHC-1.

RDAF used the DHC-1 after the KZ-II Trainer from 1957.

The KZ-II Trainer was designed end of 30's but because of the world war II, it first went into production in 1946 where RDAF ordered 15 of them

Its great fun - and if anyone who reads this thread ever comes to Denmark, then let me know and i will see if i can take you up in it :)

No - it looks a little like the Czech made Zlin 526 early model but i have no idea

That's a very nice looking plane, nice lines. Congratulations on being the owner.
I was in Copenhagen once on my way to Austria. It was a bus tour around town for an hour or so in between flights. I remember lots of statues, we did see the girl by the sea.
