June 28 -30 at Smiley Creek, ID. U87 7200 ' elevation 4900 ' of grass runway. There isn't an air show or many activities. Just a group to pilots getting together and having fun. Some do flyouts, and some just do R&R. It is a good group and this is the 5th year. Each year they select an airplane to put on the T shirts for the event and this year they picked mine.

Makes me wish I didn’t sell my 182B last year!

Hopefully it won’t be as windy next weekend for you as it was today!

Sure looks like fun, and I have a straight-tail 182. Unfortunately, it's 1148 mile, 9 hour flight, so I won't be making it this time.

oh come on you can do it and it will be fun. I attended a POA fly-in from Vale, OR. to Gastons Lakeview, AR.

I would if I wasn't about to fly to Oshkosh!! Gets expensive!!

I understand the getting expensive part.
Yeah, my Uncle wanted me to come visit him. He said, "I'll pay for the fuel". I laughed and told him what it would cost. Changed his mind.

I figure 15 hours round trip to OSH, fuel burn in cruise is 11 gph, but round up to 14 , roughly $5/gallon = $1050 in fuel. Add in other expenses and it's a good thing I love my work as a volunteer!
