Just added a short flight to the logbook. The next one takes me over the hump.

Great! (But why didn't you make it a longer flight? :))
Thanks, Grant.

Several reasons. I hadn't added up the hours since before the Thanksgiving and Christmas flights to Tulsa and California, so didn't realize how close to the cusp I was. It was my first flight since New Year's Eve, so was rusty and didn't want to push the envelope too far without a CFI in the right seat. Well, Hubby is almost a CFI, so it wouldn't be pushing too much. I had him do the takeoff because of winds gusting to 27 nm from 40*. Good thing, too, because a gust kicked us sideways about 200 feet at 200 ft. and again at 700 ft on takeoff. It was just a flight from home base in Bridgeport to Poughkeepsie for Hubby's lesson. He made the flight home because I'm not night current any more.

My 1000th hour was giving my Cousin dual in his 150 about 30 years ago.

LMAO. Not really. It was just one of those "Do you remember where you were?" moments. I don't remember my 10,000th or 20,000th. Just another day at work.

I remember my 600th - loaded 3 of my roommates from college up in a 172 and flew to Wahoo, NE just so we could say "Wahoo Traffic, Cessna 9012H 10 miles out, inbound landing, Wahoooooooooo!"

Thanks for reminding me Peggy! That was one of the last flights I ever did just for fun and flying for the sake of flying.

I don't remember any of these milestone hours, although I can remember far enough back as a week and a half ago when the airplane reached 1,000 hours flying back from Rifle. :dunno:

The only reason I remember 600 is because of the events surrounding the flight. The rest were just another day at work, couldn't tell you where I was or who I was flying with or what I was flying.

Bet they had never heard that one before.

Looks like I'll take the Cherokee 6-300 and embark on a high-performance endorsement. Wahoo.

Now, where can I get the poh?

Impressive Peggy. You have a bunch o hundreds beyond me.
It helps to have family on the other side of the Mississippi and on the other coast. It also helps to own your own plane.

Also, don't forget that the other memorable milestone was when I passed my Private Pilot checkride and logged my 300th hour on the same day.
