23 landings this weekend. (8 Saturday morning, 8 Saturday night, 7 Sunday morning).

I had an odd assortment of good ones, really good ones, a few crunchers, etc... but Saturday evening my last 4 were REALLY good and Sunday morning my first 5 were REALLY good and the last two - one ballooned a bit (recovered) and then the one after that was good and I quit for the day.

so next weekend if I repeat this success rate I'm going to ask that we get the FAA SODA guy involved so I can get this over with!

wish me continued luck...

congrats and good luck with the soda ride. Just don't jinx yourself.

BTW I am now readin Firts Man in Rome, really good thanks for the tip

Good for you!

You'll have it done in no time.

Relax, and remember that the FAA guy will want to pass you as much as you want to pass!

jinx myself how?

weekend in HH was great, got to spend time with my parents and some friends too which was really nice. went to Savannah, went to Beaufort, ate a lot of good food, and just lounged around too.

W00T! Way to go! How long has it been since the last time you got to fly three times in one weekend?

Continued good flying, and... Woohoo! :goofy:

I'd have to check my logbook, but I'm pretty sure the answer is never.

isn't this now enough to solo?

Sure sounds like it, skill-wise. Have you done emergency procedures, taken the pre-solo quiz, etc? Get that SODA ride done too. Does that come before the medical, or do you get a medical with some sort of "must carry letter from FSDO" limitation? Either way, get that handled along with the rest, and I bet you'll be taking to the skies on your own very soon... By the end of the month if you keep things up like this!

Elizabeth, the Inspector won't care about landings the way the DPE will. The basic point of the SODA ride in your (and my) case is to show that you can do what other pilots with two good eyes can do. Landing well will help, but the test involves a lot of other stuff not on the PPL exam.
