50 years as a flight attendant....

Wow!!!
She's been a flight attendant since I was a kid sitting in front of the tv watching Sky King!!

She is a rookie. Delta's oldest flight attendant is an 82 year old MALE. He was former Northeast before the merger.

I think she's the third oldest flight attendant in the US... the one on Delta is #1, there's one on US Airways as #2, and this flight attendant for AA....

Wow, I hope he just likes his job and it's not because of a really, really terrible retirement plan!

Actually from the write up I read, he really does like the job. OTH there are a LOT of benefits to being seniority #1 in a business where such things matter. (and our country's bankrupt social security system really appreciates people like this

Wow. That's something. 50yrs of a real grind.

Good for her, but I liked flying commercially a lot better when the airlines had age and fitness standards for their stewardesses. Sure, it was discriminatory, but every applicant knew the standards going into the game, and accepted them.

Of course, they used to require that they were Registered Nurses, too.

And "Stewards"? Ugh. Oughta be illegal. :rolleyes2:
