After my very first 3rd class was issued after deferral due to mental health issues, I started allergy shots. I know FAA allows desensitization for seasonal allergies. It was not reported on the most recent 8500, because I was not aware of my allergies and didn’t start the treatment. I wonder when it comes to a new application, I check the boxes, do I need to bring doctors notes to avoid delays or orally delivered information is enough for AME to issue? A Side note, I was required to do neurophysiological evaluation, at that time, I started my allergy shots and the it was disclosed in my evaluation report. FAA never asked me for documents related to allergy.

Final Approach
I have been doing the desensitization shot program for many years. I report it on my med application and the AME has never had an issue with it. At most he just asked if it seemed like it was working, which it has.

Normally hay fever allergies are not a big deal unless asthma related.
