Not a ton of flying this year, but boy did I learn a lot. Did a prebuy on a Warrior but ultimately did not consummate the deal. Flew a Cherokee Challenger a bit and nibbled on the IR bait. Flew an R22. Flew to 44N twice. I'm somewhere north of 150 hours now, should be able to make it to 200 next year.

How was your 2014? Happy new year & keep the blue side up.

Thanks for asking, did a trip from Ma. To Alaska and back through osh this summer.also a few times up and down the east coast. Try to fly at least twice a week.

2014 was a good year for me.

I flew 258 hours this year.

From the Bahamas to several places in California. Flew the Bay tour in San Fran. and Flew the Grand Canyon.

Fun Year!!

Same here I completed my longest XC trip to Oregon with my father as a new pilot and started working on my instrument rating.

Good year for me, had some fun with my paraglider, had more fun with my speedglider. Looking forward to kicking some skyass in 2015.

2014 was a bummer year, 2015 won't have to be much to be better.

flew to a couple of new places that I've wanted to hit since getting PPL'd......myrtle beach, gmu etc... saved a coupl'a puppies, took my parents on their first flight, didn't damage any planes, didn't damage myself other than getting fatter, all in all not a bad year. happy new year y'all!

Yeah, had a good year. Flew into some places havent been before, no surprises at recent annual or medical and BFR was fun.

Regrettably had to block 3 members here (a first for me) ....... couldnt take it any longer. :nonod:

Did 110 hrs this year. Slightly higher than last year.
Where are you coming from to fly into 44N? It's my go to place for breakfast on Thursdays.

I flew up from DC. My folks live near 20N/1B1, but 44N has the only food in the area...

Got my Comm SEL. Goals for next year are Commercial multi and MEI and build up some hours for the regionals.

First full year with my certificate. Flew just over 100 hours in 10 countries, got my complex and high perf, started studying seriously for IR.
Next year already in planning, and hopefully will be even better...

Looking back at the goals I set in 2013 I at least managed to bust one hundred hours this year. No new upgrades on 08Romeo but maybe we can get things done in 2015.

2014 Totals

Hours: 109 YTD - TT 929 XC 94.0, IMC 6.9, Sim IMC 4.0
Airports: F45,KAYS,KHQU,KJZI
States: Florida
Aircraft: Cirrus SR22
Fun Flights:
Beach runs turned into home away from home flights to be with my Bride. Mary has been holding down the fort in Ocean City, MD while I try and get the house sold in North Wilmington. She has her hands full with the three cats and Ziva the American Mastiff. We hope to find a buyer in 2015 so I can retire!

The only 'distance' flight was our Thanksgiving get-away to Florida. Our Valentines day Singer Island FL get-away was cancelled due to snow in February.

2015 Goals

Hours:
Same as every year, at least 100 and I hope to bust a total time of 1000 hours.
Flights:
It will be different for us this year. I will be retired shortly after our home in North Wilmington is sold. I have no plane in Delaware, we gave up the hangar at New garden (N57) and now keep 08Romeo in Maryland (KOXfull time. Maybe we'll use the plane in reverse, flights 'from' the beach to visit family and friends in Delaware instead of weekend beach runs.

Mary and I have discussed more four day get-aways. We are looking forward to Jekyll Island, GA., visiting family in Boston, finally crossing Mackinac Island off our bucket list and a few more hot spots. We have also talked about getting back into animal rescue flights for MAESSR. I have also given some thought to the vacant Beech Aero Club Mid-Atlantic Regional Director position...more on this later.

Aircraft Upgrades:
Still on the list is Replacing the Collins Audio panel with a PMA800B panel. Replace the Century I autopilot with an STEC capable of shooting approaches and tracking course.

After this past weeks flight I will say I still enjoy hand flying. I'm thinking that if wx gets that bad, like it did Tuesday, I'll divert and sit it out. Everyone keeps telling me don't put 15K into the plane, buy something faster with an autopilot. I admit I did say a few times in those heavy rains and winds I would have liked to run my diversion numbers and have the autopilot keep us on course and level providing less of a stress and work load.

We have much to be grateful for. The kids, grandkids and grandcats are all in Arizona now. We miss them, but they are prospering there, and we have an excuse to fly the 172 down there any chance we get. The airplane did well this year, with no significant squawks and an easy annual. It came in very handy when we suddenly had to deal with the illness of an elderly relative in Southern California.

500 hours for 4 different employers for me. I also broke 1,000 hours this year ending it with 1,300 ish hours.

Yeah, since the diner burned down at 1B1.
Rumor has it they are going to rebuild the diner at 1B1, and the restaurant at DXR. I will refrain from holding my breath.......
I only live 10 miles from 44N and 10 from POU.
