I like the aircraft raffles. I try and buy a ticket from some of these organizations each year.
Here is a list of all the raffles I could find.
I have no affiliation and do not endorse any of these organizations in any way.
In light of the Winged Warriors Raffle issues discussed here on POA, I suggest buyers beware in all contests, lotteries, and raffles.

Please add any that I missed.

Thanks! I might try the wings of hope raffle. If spent that much on a lottery ticket in my younger dumber days, these are way better odds than the lottery lol. 1 in 3000 is reasonable
 
1940 Air Terminal is July 19th.. They also have an online survey to see what plane to raffle next year.

The 1940 raffle is Saturday. I will offer free rides in my new plane on Sunday.:goofy::D:yes:

Anyone close to the 1940 museum going to actually go to the raffle Saturday? I live just south of Houston and have never been to it. Thought I might as well attend so that I can pick the keys up in person when I win. ;)

I hope all you who are thinking your going to win my plane bought tickets. They stopped selling them at noon today. Ill be picking up the keys to my new plane tomorrow!!!:happydance:

Ouch! I don't see why they wouldn't allow it, I don't think they sold anywhere near the 2,500 max. I bought mine a few days ago and was in the 1,200 range
 
I wonder if they actually sold about 800 in just a few days or if they are giving them out in random numbers then.
 
I ordered via the website on Thursday and haven't heard from them with my tiket number yet. Did they call you or email you? Should I be worried? I don't want some paperwork snafu to pop up when they draw my number tomorrow. ;)

I'm guessing that they sold the 800+. I have been getting emails all week from they counting down the days and hours till the drawing. I purchased another which I believe is the winning ticket :yes:
 
I'm sure they will keep the dust off it until I get there to fly it home. :D

Can't wait for the 1940 air terminal drawing tomorrow. I'm in it, but I'm currently in Afghanistan, so obviously I won't be on hand to see who wins.

I ordered over the phone and the lady that took my order actually sent me an email of my ticket and told me they will mail my ticket stub to my address. Have they charged your bank account yet?

P.S. I can keep the dust from accumulating on it for you till you get back if you do win! :dunno: haha.

BTW the lady I ordered my ticket from said they are going to try and stream it on their website.

Former military...long, long time ago. Well, a long time to me...not so long ago for some of the old-timers around here. I was only in from 1989-1995, just in time for Desert Breeze...I mean Storm.

Now I'm an evil contractor!
 
Anybody here won the Cherokee 140 yet? Did anyone attend? Just bumping this to keep an eye on it....

Just saw on facebook the drawing is at 1:00. I am practising my thank you speech now. I'll be sure to give POA a nice plug while I am accepting the keys. Maybe I will change the n number to POA. ;-)

LOL!!!!

I'll have to save my speech for the 172 or either of the Luscombe's. The 172 has a 0 time engine. I wonder what it will cost to convret it to the 180 hp when I win it? :)

Drawing is August 18th

I called Wings of hope today. They have about 1000 tickets sold in the last two months. They hope to make the 3000 mark by Thanksgiving.
