I knew my ancestors should never have sold the land that the state house is on to the government...

They probably thought they got a good deal. I might be mistaken, but I think the state house is built on a part of Boston that was "created" when the back bay was filled in ("land reclamation")

Was never going to happen as long as there was no exemption for aircraft used for "official business" (like campaigning).
