Ya got a purty plane! :D
Thank you. I spent a long time trying to find the right plane, with the right avionics and heavily maintained. Divorce forces the sale. Can't afford to buy my wife out to keep it.

That blows. Did you ever think about maybe taking in a partner or two to pay her (the ex) off? At least you'd be able to keep your baby. Of start a club with it, although that would take longer to get the pay off moola.

Not interested in that. Not everyone treats things the same way. I've babied this plane since I've purchased it. I let a friend fly it once with me, and he did a multiple hop landing. From that point forward, I decided nobody flies the plane but me. I spent a lot of money and time to find this plane, and she's treated me well. I take care of her, and she's taken care of me. Had two annuals on it already, and not one hss found anything that needed attention in any way.

Completely understand that. Just was a suggestion if you wanted to find a way to keep her. Good luck on your sale.

Weird, this archer is 677AP, I flew an archer in FLA that was 67AP. You have one more '7'. Since you have an extra Lucky 7 I feel you will sell this quickly. That's what I'm goin with.

:) Hope so. Thanks.

Unlike the wife, eh...

Just kidding... I truly feel your pain... Got an Ex too...

[whine] why do aircraft that fill most of my checkboxes come around when I'm not in a position to sole own? And it's the right colors too!!! [/whine]

You did find a winner! Sorry you have to sell, but I hope you find someone at full price!

Yeah ALABAMA colors! Roll Tide! :D

You're a better man than I am. I'd let that plane go for real cheap just to even out the score. Scorched earth policy as far as I'm concerned. There's no upside to marriage for men these days. None.

If you marry a stranger, probably no upside. If you marry someone and treat them poorly, probably not a whole lot of success. Marry someone you've spent the time to get to know, love and trust, who shares morals and values with you, be their friend and spouse, and you'll likely have a great time. Few people go into marriage with these things. Disposable society.

Really? This is the classified section. Either say "nice plane", ask a question about the plane, or MYOFB. Not a place for commentary on someone else's life.

:) Sorry. Did that get under your skin? ;)

It sure is a nice airplane that is listed for sale in this here thread. Shucks. Ah, gee, and all that. I don't think the seller should sell his beloved airplane cheap in order to spite anyone. I was replying to the person who stated that there's no upside to marriage, yet, apparently, it was a marriage that allowed the OP to own an airplane. Now over, airplane must sell. Makes one ponder the fact, doesn't it? :D

Last I checked you don't own this thread nor this board. Thread drift is a very real part of PoA. He was not attacking anyone so CTFO or GTFO, you choose.

How about getting married to an independently wealthy lady. :D

Ok, this is my thread. Can we please stop with the banter? If you like the plane, fine. If you are interested int the plane, message me. Otherwise, please keep the comments to yourself.
Thank you!

Saw this plane on one of the other for sale boards as well I think. Had to show it to my wife just to see if she might be willing to look at buying earlier than we expected. No joy, but man I wish I was in the market.

Very nice airplane! looks like you have added some nice equipment.

As a former Archer flyer, I must say, I have panel envy. You are giving the plane away at that price.

Someone is gonna fall in love with this one quick.

Can I ask a question about the plane, or did we get too far off track? :)

Not familiar with Archers. What the cruise speed and fuel flow? UL?

Cruises at 125 Knots @ 9 GPH. Useful is about 981 lbs.

Will the IIB autopilot follow the GPSS Steering commands from the 480 and Aspen?

The aspen is coupled both the 480 and KX155, with a switch to determine which to use. Yes, the autopilot will follow GPSS steering from the 480 and Aspen.

Want. Anyone want to partner up in the Chicago area?

That's a heck of a piper you got there, good luck on the sale

What's the man-equivalent of a bake sale? Can we hold a fund raiser to help Aggie scoop up this plane?

I begged and pleaded with the wife to reconsider this plane. Promised the wash dishes for a year, even told her I would sale the Harley to own my first plane. No joy....

I really thought this one would be gone in days pending a pre-buy.
