A Portland, OR. pilot alone in a Cessna I think it was a 182 or 206 crashed on the hog back ridge adjacent to the Big Creek landing strip on Sunday the 29th. He survived but had several broken ribs and some other broken bones. I will post some of the pictures we took a week ago when we landed in there.

There are a couple of pictures on Facebook under Big Creek Lodge. search. Showing the crashed plane and a little story.

Glad the pilot survived, wish him a quick recovery.

Bad place to have a problem (obviously)....hope we hear about the cause whether mechanical or operator. It's not a difficult approach but there isn't a lot of room for error or changing your mind. Heck-of-a-job getting him out of there.
