Poor Christy... I'm basing at Gibbs this week for some business, and she asked if I wanted gas.. I looked up and said "oh HELL no" before I could stop myself

According to the POH, my bird burns around 9 GPH. Usually, through judicious leaning, I'm around 6 GPH. Even at todays fuel prices, flying is still affordable for me. I feel sorry for those poor guys who own those beautiful warbirds, 45-50 GPH.

I think we will be seeing fuel at $10.00 gal., in the not too distant future. Warbirds are like little kids, they're fun to watch, but it's better if someone else owns them.

I've filled up there in the past, but I hadn't thought about it lately. That's a big difference. I think I'll be stopping at Brown a little more often.

$5.51 at KOLM with our club's discount. And a year ago? A bunch less. It was higher in late 2008, so we'll see what happens. Things settle down, oil comes back down a bit and 100LL should drop a bit, too.
