How does one find a lawyer out of state? (asking for a friend)

Most state bar associations offer a lawyer referral service. There's also Google or he might want to try the Aviation Lawyers Association (ala.law) or the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association (lawyer-pilots.org).

How to Make an Offer Letter?

If I were considering spending a "heart-stopping amount of money", paying for a few hours of an attorney's time to review a purchase agreement would seem to be a reasonable insurance policy. But, my risk aversion increases with the number of 0's on the check and figure that it is cheaper to talk...

    Looking for Information

Ryan, RST is mostly GA friendly though they prefer the jet-A crowd to the avgas lot. There is a very active club based at RST that offers some flight training to its members, but for the most part you get a better training experience at some of the surrounding smaller airports. As for other...

I see a photon torpedo in our future.

There will always be ballistics - throwing or launching gets ordinance over the horizon or over barriers. Beam weapons are line of sight, so if you can't see it, you can't hit it.

Rob, Get your rating in that old, simple 172. You already know how to fly her and you already know her knobology. Don't add additional complexity to an already complex task. Save the sexy hardware for later. +1 on practicing on a simulator

    navion Rangemaster

I've flow both G & H models. As mentioned, the interior is comfortable for 4, but the 5th seat is for small children only and does encroach on the baggage area (I think that's the biggest reason you don't find many planes with the 5th seat). I've never found the visibility to be that limited...

Non Av - Home Heating Hardware

Just to be contrary, there is a 3rd option -- electric thermal storage heating. The basic premise is that you buy off-peak power, heat a large mass (aka bunch-o-bricks) and have the thermal mass provide the house's heating demands. They are pricey - the unit I've spec'ed for an office I'm...

Can you help me understand something?

I've never tried putting the portable apps on a CD or DVD (the DVD ROM should read a CD). In theory, it should work fine. I'd unpack the .exe on to your flash and then burn a CD from the flash drive. Bruce

Can you help me understand something?

My guess is that you have the correct translation. An end-run via a flash drive & portable apps may be the best solution - at least it beats :mad2: Bruce

Can you help me understand something?

Just curious, but given that Word is not a very graphics or CPU intensive application and that the number of old machines with Word appears to be much greater than the number of new machines, other than simply being able to use the shiny new boxes more, is there any real advantage in running...
