Full stops when cleared for the option

What harm could it possibly do? It doesn't take up any more radio time. It lets them know to watch for ground traffic at a possible runway exit. And in my opinion, it's just courteous.

1st XC, and long XC completed this morning!

Nice work....it's always good to tick one more thing off on your way to your license. Good job! (consider it a virtual pat on the back)

    CAP and Colorado fires

I've been in CAP for over 10 years now. It's a good place to serve and is pretty flexible. Doing some of the duties takes more time than others but don't expect to get in a fly a whole bunch. As with most things budget cuts have affected just about everything from funded flying to training...

A new plane, the easy way

I'm sure insurance companies will get involved and the plane will be depreciated because of it's lack of currency (annual's and such). But still....I wouldn't want to be the guy that forgot to set the brake!

    What's the best ATV?

I've run a Motorcycle dealership for over 15 years now, so feel free to PM me any questions. No sales pitch. You're leaving a lot out though. What size are you looking for? Two seat or single? What is your intended use? Do you have a budget? Things like that. I've had a lot of success...

    Verifying runway crossing clearance

I voted yes, but generally if ground isn't busy, I'll verify en route just before the bars (only on a lengthy taxi clearance). If they're busy and I know I heard it right or wrote it down, I'll just pass on through, keeping my head on a swivel. If I'm not mistaken don't you have to hold...

Oh Boy, Am I In Trouble!

No shopping habit and she's pretty low maintenance. I think I'm going to take her to the Aero Club and let her take the reigns. Let's see if she really wants to commit to it.

Oh Boy, Am I In Trouble!

Are you kidding me....that's her favorite picture (I photoshopped that pin up with a pair of my grandpa's WWII wings).

Oh Boy, Am I In Trouble!

So I'm in bed the other night watching reruns (season 2) of Flying Wild Alaska and my wife rolls over and says: "I think I'd like to learn to fly a plane." :hairraise: Now what do I do? Flying is the only time I get to get away from her!:mad2:

Help planning my first dual XC

Ditto that. You're route is fine. Going through Redlands would be a good idea. Plenty of room to climb if DA permits.

    My first solo!

WAY TO GO! Nice work...it's all down hill from here.

"I'm a pilot." No you are not.

I read this and started thinking "Dang, I must be full of crap too". Hell, I've been a pilot for 11 years and I've never heard the term 'CGS' before. What a fraud I must be. Thanks Google. Found out it must be an east coast thing. Dang foreigners. (had me worried)
