    Bicycles in planes

A group of guys just rode the Unbound 200 on Walmart beach cruisers they bought the night before*. I know of another dude who (YEARS AGO) raced the Kona Ironman on a beach cruiser (also wore flip flops). I don't look down on anyone for their choice of bike they ride. I really don't. Enjoy what...

    Any Career CFI's?

My PPL DPE suggested that charging $200/hr was an option. I assume that is for a certain type of clientele. I mentioned it to him because I'm in a position where I make good enough money that becoming a CFI to build hours would be a massive pay cut, but building to 1500 would be expensive and...

    Pre buy DURING an annual

In the sellers defense, he did advertise that it was scheduled for an annual in the ad itself. Beats out the other guy I contacted who had no information and no pictures on another that is local to me, who seems upset that people lose interest after he tells them it has been out of annual for...

    Pre buy DURING an annual

I would pay for the additional work. As of right now I don't have a preferred mechanic. I know a few, I think, the local airport has a small community and I'm on good terms with them, though I'm a big introvert so that doesn't mean much. But as a professional (non aviation) mechanic myself, I...

    Pre buy DURING an annual

Searched and didn't come up with an answer. New PPL and first time shopper. I contacted a seller who says he just flew the plane to another airport to do an annual. This plane is on my short list of interested planes. Seeing that the plane is with a mechanic other than at the home airport...

    Bicycles in planes

I would just be riding my roadie. Too big of a risk of getting injured, the bikes are heavier (trail bike is 35 pounds) as well as my necessary gear, and not too many airports with trails worth riding (I ride VERY advanced trails).

    Bicycles in planes

20, 30, 100+ miles. Jump in after work, go somewhere new, and ride for a few hours before going home a few times a week. Get some time building in. Go farther away and ride longer on the weekends. Alternative option is running, which I've done during my training XC and my first solo XC with my...

Would you prefer the ex wife, or girlfriend? Ex wife is single (I think)

    Bicycles in planes

My hobby is racing mountain bikes at the "Pro" level ;) (My catchphrase is "I'm the slowest Pro you'll ever meet. But I do have a Pro license, and I use it.)

    Bicycles in planes

I'm reading mixed reviews on the IO346, but I have found one not too far away worth considering that's in budget.

    Bicycles in planes

Sure. But when I said I'm not worried about air speed, I didn't mean I wanted 7 gph for 26 knots  Though, my road bike is probably more aero than a Cessna.

    Bicycles in planes

I've got a local AA5 that I'm going to try and look at this weekend. But I have low hopes it will be air worthy. All the others I can find are out of budget :(

170/2 would fit bikes easy. Unfortunately they don't fit my budget. Neither does a Maule :(

    Bicycles in planes

Recent PPL looking for a first plane...on a budget. A strong want, but not need, is being able to stuff my road bike inside. I can disassemble it fine. Looking for suggestions. I'm sure I can get two in a 150. Looks like a Tri Pacer is roomy. Not sure about an AA1 or Skipper, looks too small...
