I was under the impression that a repair would probably cost in the neighborhood of $500. If JPI will fix it in the $150-200 range will probably just stick with the 700. Looks like upgrade price is $1250.

I have a used Stratux I’ll sell for $75 if anyone is interested. Worked well but as said above required an occasional reboot. No longer needed after a panel upgrade.

I just had excellent results using Sheppard Air for my Instrument written (only missed 3 and only took me 20 mins to take). It downloads completely to your device so no need for internet connection. There were no surprise questions on the test. I had seen them all with Sheppard Air.

See you just have the GPS175. For reference to others that may be reading the GNX375 has the integrated transponder/ADSB In/Out. All of the ADSB info is also sent to ForeFlight when connected via Bluetooth.
