Latest iPad Pro Vs Air? - 2022 Models

I don't have any experience using the Aera. I just looked up the model number of my company iPad. It's a previous generation (4th gen) 10.9" Air. I'll head over to Best Buy and play with the Mini. Obviously, I'm aware the screen can be zoomed. But perspective is lost when doing so. Having...

Latest iPad Pro Vs Air? - 2022 Models

The Pro is available in both 11" and 12.9" The 11" Pro is virtually the same size as the Air, which only comes in 10.9" (most recent generation). I assume you mean the largest Pro would be too large for you?

Latest iPad Pro Vs Air? - 2022 Models

Good feedback, folks. Thanks. I have a Galaxy Tab S6 that I travel with and use for reading and general web browsing, etc. I doubt I'd want anything smaller. I found a site called Phonearea that has some cool comparison tools. Here's a size comparison of the Galaxy Tab S6 vs. the newest...

Latest iPad Pro Vs Air? - 2022 Models

You might have the 12.9" Pro. The latest Air spec's indicate it uses the 2nd gen Apple Pencil. Thanks for the feedback.

Latest iPad Pro Vs Air? - 2022 Models

Having been a PC and Android user for many years, I'm fairly Apple illiterate. The only Apple device I use is the EFK/iPad my employer provides. I have no idea which model it is, but I won't use it for personal use. I'm getting back into GA flying and I'd like to use Foreflight, so I'll have...

    Kathryn's Report?

2022 BUMP Experiencing the same thing; "Permission Denied - This blog is open to invited readers only." I'd never encountered this before but based on the existence of this thread, I guess it's happened several times in the past.

Best "Aftermarket" Checklist - Piper Arrow III?

Thanks. I'm not presently using Foreflight. I don't have a personal iPad but do have an Android tablet. Foreflight isn't available for Android. Since I keep my CFI certificate current, I've installed WingX, which is offered at no charge to CFI's.

Best "Aftermarket" Checklist - Piper Arrow III?

I recently got checked-out to rent a normally aspirated Piper Arrow III. The checklist that's in the airplane leaves a bit to be desired. For example, it lists "carb heat" in more than one location. I fly for a living but I've been out of GA for many years. I see there are several checklists...

Is There a Rental Price/Performance Comparison Tool?

Not sure I follow? What happened to me in what regard? I posted in the thread at 11:29am yesterday; about five hours before your post.

Is There a Rental Price/Performance Comparison Tool?

Tampa Bay Aviation also requires renter's insurance for all their aircraft. They have a C182Q for $250 hr.

Is There a Rental Price/Performance Comparison Tool?

Does anyone know of a tool with a database of aircraft performance numbers where I can enter a route and compare the total cost and performance of renting one type vs. another? For example, if I intend to fly a round trip between ABC and XYC, I'd like to see what the performance and cost...

Transferring title upon death of airplane owner

BUMP to follow on to this discussion: I spoke with an examiner in the registration branch in OKC and was advised to complete the heir-at-law form along with an 8050-1. This will result in the issuance of a new registration. There is a lot of mention in this thread of title. Is there actually...

    8050-2 Question - Gift?

It was issued an airworthiness certificate after its final inspection from the DAR several years ago. It is currently registered through 4/22.

    8050-2 Question - Gift?

Yes, I am a FL resident but the airplane is unfortunately located in the northeast and currently unairworthy. It's a kit aircraft that my father built. He basically completed the build and received an airworthiness certificate but ultimately removed much of the instrument panel before ever...

    8050-2 Question - Gift?

Thanks. I plan to call the FAA. Regarding the eldercare attorney, we had two phone consultations today and that very topic was discussed. Once we retain the attorney, I will clarify whether it would be better to transfer the plane to my mother for now or if we can just go ahead and gift it...

    8050-2 Question - Gift?

Thanks for clarifying. No, the plane is in the northeast.

    8050-2 Question - Gift?

Yes. Thanks for pointing that out. I will make sure to get the proper sworn documentation from my mother. To be clear, you are a Florida resident and received an aircraft as a gift? And with the supporting sworn statement, there was no tax liability on your part? My parents reside outside...
