If you're clicking on the image, it will be in Format. You MUST be right-clicking on the image, though.

    [NA]Word & pictures

Right-click the picture and select Text Wrapping... Choose one that works for you. The pic will usually jump a bit after the selection, depending on which one you select (I usually use Tight). Just drag it to where you want after that.

    Google: as bad as Microsoft.

It's relative. I'm sure Hitler didn't think he was evil, either. :D I've taken to checking for "ride alongs" with every software installation. I do a before/after in various places on my computers. Or read the EULA (yeah, I actually read them) and you'll find all kinds of all encompassing...

    Starting to Bike Commute

I'd actually prefer walking TO the car over getting IN the car. THAT'S the oven. Ugh. Thankfully the really wicked stuff is only for a few months. Otherwise it's great here. :)

    Starting to Bike Commute

I quit riding when I moved to Phoenix. These people hate bikers or something. I used to ride 150-200 miles a week on Michigan highways with traffic going by at 60mph but we all seemed to get along. Here...they just don't seem to give a crap, even with the bike lanes. And there's no way I'm...

How to make a 3X5 jpg?

Okay, that makes more sense. EAA might have downsized it but what you provided matches their's so it should fit the bill. If it's used for anything else, like brochures, they might require something bigger, though. Nice job!

How to make a 3X5 jpg?

Is that the final or a thumbnail? At 150x180 pixels, it's going to be rather pixelated when printed at 3"x5" if I understood your original requirements. Ken would know better than I would but my understanding for actual print requirements is 72ppi and most mag submissions ask for up to...

    Phoenix Rentals

Four Corners is still quite a ride from Flagstaff, at least by car. If you fly into that area, keep the plane locked. Opportunistic petty theft isn't unknown to happen, even on backcountry strips.

It's also got tricky wind currents this time of year. The airport sits on a mesa and the hill right before 3's threshold makes for interesting updrafts that suddenly disappear. I keep my speed up a bit, knowing I'm going to lose altitude fast in certain conditions, especially in high temps...

    Phoenix Rentals

Westwind at Deer Valley has some of the best maintained planes in the area. All Cessnas on the singles, though. I haven't been to SDL since a few months after finishing my PPL. I didn't like the attitudes at the FBOs. They have some new people there, though, and some new planes. Don't...

Mom Sues Airport After Daughter Killed In Plane Crash

But now, due to a greedy lawyer looking at who has the most $$, the airport has to defend itself and develop procedures to avoid this in the future. Then other airports will adopt similar procedures in a risk management move. Line 'em up and shoot every other one. The rest will get the...

    In Need of Pilots!

That part is already done. Just not sure the models are interested in flying and shooting at the same time. :D

    As God is my witness....

Bailey in a burlap sack would have been hot. Something to think about: she's 59 in July.

    In Need of Pilots!

So if the photographer rents the plane from the FBO and hires the private pilot, that's Part 91? Why doesn't this feel logical compared to other 91/135 comparisons? This entire thing still screams 135 to me. Don't get wrong here. I'd LIKE to be incorrect and am perfectly happy with it. It...

    In Need of Pilots!

I was only focusing on me as a private pilot. I'm very self-centered. Just ask me.

    In Need of Pilots!

He's flying himself. So I, as a private pilot, can fly around, take scenic images, and sell them without having a commercial license? Despite the fact that I couldn't get those images WITHOUT being in the air so it can't be considered a "ride along" type activity? Hmmm....

    In Need of Pilots!

Well...this oughta get interesting, then. Because at DVT, in the lobby, is a series of aerial landscapes shot by a photographer flying an ultralight. It's even mentioned in his bio, which features a self-portrait of him flying an ultralight. And I highly doubt he's giving this stuff away....

    In Need of Pilots!

I knew who he was from some photo magazine articles. That doesn't change the private vs commercial requirements, though.
