Flight lessons- Once a week adequate- or waste of time/money for PPL?

Depends on the person. Up until I got close to the test my lessons were at most once a week sometimes 2 or 3 weeks depending on the weather. I soloed in just over 9 hours and completed the requirements in 40. I felt ready for the test around 50. Then burned another 10ish hours waiting for...

Diminished value and loss of use calculation.

Does anyone have experience with making a claim against another parties insurance company? How do you calculate these values for private aircraft?

Anyone else call it walking the dog?

Free PilotBnB: would you do it?

Strangers? Nope! not unless I was set up like an airbnb then I would charge. Having said that if someone here said they were going to be around and needed a ride I might accommodate that. I am one of the few people who still picks up hitchhikers from time to time*. :hairraise: *what are the...

Regional Airline Applicant with Upcoming Driving Violation. Advice needed!

Not a lawyer and I did not stay at a Holiday in last night. Having said that I have been to court a couple times over the years because I fight any ticket I can because they will always reduce it. I have also dealt with this with my kids. Your lawyer if they are any good and connected at all...

My wife and dog were killed in a car accident. How to get help without revoking medical?

Sorry to hear this I can't imagine. Maybe talk to a pastor or someone who isn't medical. A lot of churches have counseling programs. Find a place to get basic med. I realize everything seems super hard right now but basic med is easy after you find the doc or doc in a box who will do it.

    Non owned aircraft insurance

My understanding is that with non-owned insurance there is very little difference between the companies that provide it cost wise and I have found this to be true in my research. I carry a policy for liability on the one aircraft currently fly that does not belong to me and I know has no hull...

Took a puppy home from the pound

Nice looking pup! Our lab pup is 7.5 months. Last dog was a rescue, great family dog but over the top territorial at home and after 15 years of stressing out every time someone came to the door it is a welcome relief to have a dog that doesn't even bark when a door bell rings. Other than...

Good point didn't look for the specific prop manual. ETA: Still not much specific to the tip.

    Propeller experts come inside.

Other than AC 43.13-1B, AC 20-37E, MacCauly SB 176E are there other documents that cover propeller repair specifically repairs to the tip. The documents and diagrams talk about dressing out nicks dings and dents in the propeller body but the only specific language I can find about tip repairs...

    Hams..Get Your Straight Keys Out

Been a good little bit since I have been on although I do turn on some of the WebSDR stations and copy code from time to time just to see if I can do it. Considering I don't do it often I can usual copy between 10-15 WPM depending on the day. Usually I will just get a bug to go play on a cold...

Dang it! Another TIA, now what?

Agree until you are healthy don't fly but certainly if you were healthy and had no reason to believe you wouldn't be LSA should be doable and possibly Basic Med. The Basic Med SI requirement wording seems to indicate if you have a satisfactory explanation of the cause you wouldn't need an SI...
