    The Neguse bill

https://www.dailycamera.com/2019/12/12/congressman-neguse-introduces-aircraft-noise-reduction-act/ On the scale from We Are All Doomed to Nothingburger, how much do you hate Neguse? Nate, is he in your district?

Why do people say this about trim?

I have a Mooney, and it's pretty clear (there's no tab). The trim controls the angle of attack. The airspeed follows the angle of attack, so it looks as if the trim sets the airspeed. When the air is smooth, I can actually affect the trim by about a knot or two just by leaning forward and back...

Watching Falcon 9 Launch From Air. Any Issues?

Here's an older video on the topic. The launch itself is from 15:30 forward:

Plane Crash In Bonita Springs, FL (1/22/18) (Daniel Bernath / aka danielabernath)

Fine, but why would he roll inverted and lawn-dart into a forest if he ran out of gas? The weather was clear. Let's say he was high as a kite and stalled. Even so, RV-12 responds to ailerons.

Looking for Advice for Flying into Taos

I landed at Taos in an airplane that develops 56 h.p. at sea level. It's the easiest "mountain" airport ever. {The picture was taken before they built the cross-wind runway.} Coming up from Clovis, there will be no need to cross any ridges. Just watch out for icing. Also, there's a super...

    Mooney gone?

You're looking at the spanwise washout in that photo, not at a change in curvature.

    Mooney gone?

That's about right. The article in Flying Magazine, "Diamond was first to announce development of a single-engine jet, and the airplane is a delight to fly", was published on November 19, 2019. They took the prototype for a spin. But the jet bankrupted the company.

    Mooney gone?

The funny thing is, many airplanes have "negative" flaps that create a double-convex airfoil in cruise. That's basically the only way to go fast, at least under the speed of sound.

    Mooney gone?

Ewwwwww. My 1969 Mooney has the quadrant and I hate it. The contortions I have to make with my wrists are quite annoying. I am very glad that modern Mooneys switched to vernier controls. Not that it saved them as we can see. This is mine: This is an Ultra that I fit-check at TX Acft Expo:

    Mooney gone?

Diamond is trying to remain relevant in that space with SF50. Sadly the D-jet failed.

    Buying a used aircraft

This may be a decent deal if the risk is factored into the price, but there's absolutely no way for you to catch a good deal of that nature as your first airplane purchase. It's essentially guaranteed to be a dumpster fire of an ownership story.

What's the best vacation you have ever had?

My best vacation was when I visited U.S. in 1996. I volunteered for rodeo in Omaha, NE, and generally had a good time.

Cirrus SR-22 crashed into house, Upland CA. KCCB Airport.

I'm not implying anything. I'm telling you straight that the ballistic parachute system is installed and its container is visible in the photo. I'm not implying that it works or its testing was successful either. You only asked about the existence of this setup :)

Cirrus SR-22 crashed into house, Upland CA. KCCB Airport.

Not many. Here's the installation on Kumertau-Kamov Rotorfly: https://ic.pics.livejournal.com/igor113/15886453/8435415/8435415_original.jpg

Cirrus SR-22 crashed into house, Upland CA. KCCB Airport.

The stall horn was broken for years in my airplane, and one day I got slow. I knew right away that something was not right: the plane was wallowing side to side so much, losing stability. Now I'm curious if Cirrus tells its pilot that things are about to go bad, or is it like everything is fine...

    Mooney crash-West Virginia 10/24/2019

It was the initial wood wing model. Maybe that was a factor in the way it came apart. That said, you are going to have a bad day if you smack a conventional Mooney with an aluminum wing that hard.

    Can I enter Class C...?

No kidding. Out west, the most important, and best-kept secret is the Center frequency. For some of the bigger airports it's documented in the former AF/D, now known as "supplement". But not for many. So, you take off from a strip in the middle of Arizona or New Mexico, and who do your talk to...

All women Deltra crew flies 120 girls to NASA HQ

At least cut off the tracking token when pasting the link, sheesh. Also yay for sexism. We want you to become an aviator not because you're any good at aviating, or because you might like it, but because you have the officially approved set of body parts.

    Mooney or Cardinal?

Well, in all seriousness, I did look at Bonanzas, and again it all came to money. Despite being a large airplane, a Bo is not friendly to tall pilots. The ones from the 1950s are downright hostile. I cannot even jam in with the bench seat - my right knee gets stuck solid against the controls...
