EliQuis (a blood thinner) and Basic Med

Question - at what point, if any, would blood clots be considered coronary heart disease? I ask because my father was treated for pvt clots via a blood thinner and was told it was a heart attack risk. I don’t _think_ it is here, but asking. If it is, then a SI for the clots is necessary.

Is it safe to fly on a Boeing 737-Max?

There's nothing wrong with the Max8 or the quality of Boeing airplanes. If there is any concern, it's about how the apparent quality of mechanics seems to have gone down. Stop listening to the fear on the news or social media. It's there to make you come back to them to keep tabs on it.

I was denied a 1st class Medical 2 years ago and I want to re-apply

Your previous failed medical is part of your record with FAA Medical. You're on the correct track. Be sure you answers track with before and that you've consulted with the AME before you submit the exam on what testing and evaluations you need to do. Have those tests in hand, at the same time...

What's wrong with a dutch roll in a passenger jet?

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/boeing-737-max-jet-grounded-after-dutch-roll/ First, I understand the aerodynamics of a delta wing in a yaw. The leading wing is more directly pointed into the airstream so it gets more lift. The trailing wing is less perpendicular to the airstream, so it...

This one is VERY hard to listen to...I'm guessing another "cognitive decline"...

Because the guy was clearly in trouble and needed help. The reason didn't matter then, get him on the ground safely and without killing anyone, including himself. Unless you just don't care if someone kills themselves (and maybe others) because of a helmet fire or worse (stroke mid flight...

    Name my dog

Norwegian, you could go with Odin or another Norse god. Does he have a Loki personality? I don’t recommend anything aviation related because the dog could get paranoid or narcissistic if he thinks you’re talking about him all the time.

Seaplane collides with small boat in Vancouver

Even if not a designated runway, the boat is the more maneuverable craft. Could the pilot have pulled power? Seems like drag would have slowed him down pretty quickly.

    Lets make Friday 'Joke Day'!

A man and a woman had been married for more than 60 years. They had shared everything. They had kept no secrets from each other except that the little old woman had a shoe box in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband never to open or ask her about. For all of these years, he...

Atronaut Williams Anders has died in a plane crash of a T-34 Mentor off the San Juan Islands near Seattle. He was 90 years old. His isn’t a household name, you probably don’t recognize it. But you probably know the picture he took on Apollo 8.
