    Pitts or Citabria/Decathlon

A super D works very nicely up through sportsman... It's also very good for upset recovery which I think the guy was kind of talking about originally in this thread. I liked my super D a lot, very versatile... Good for aerobatics good for XC trips. I like my new (to me) Eagle too...

    Pictures of the Eagle

Well, I have now taken ownership of said eagle and have a few more pics to post but can't off the iPad. So I will post them when I get home.... Sure is fun to fly :goofy: Interesting to learn to land... Especially with a tallish CFI in front- makes the take off and landing extra blind.

Black hole approach to unfamiliar rural airport

We have this problem here in this part of Texas. Yes, if you fly a regular pattern using the same power settings as usual into a dark airport you will be ok. Don't us the numbers as an aiming point... Plan to land on the 1000 ft. Markers if available. That is, don't think you have to land on...

    First Flight FAQ

I tell them that the plane in the air is similar to a canoe in a river and will bump or move up and down in the same kind of way. That air is a fluid medium but that unlike water you can't know when/where the bumps or waves might be so it takes getting used to. It's normal for the plane to...

    Identify this bug

I looked up cone nosed beetle and I doubt thats it. But, I would watch the bite area and seek medical attention if it grows or worsens in any way.

    Identify this bug

It looks similar to a cone nosed beetle which is not horrible but not good. Is the bite area increasing in size? Is it hard to the touch? You might draw a circle with a pen around the swollen area to have a reference to how much it changes. How old is your child? Is it causing irritation...

    Duh... with a video (Waco)

You can "dive" from above 3000 to a level that will help you not be at 1500 so soon... As long as you are in the box for the first figure. Primary doesn't get dinged for going out... Eric will correct me if I'm wrong....
