ADS-B Tracking Data Clears An Ag Pilot Of FAA Charges

Still was FAA counsel's responsibility to stop this early. Lazy lawyer, s/he should have been reassigned as well.

    Luscombe 8a patroller doors

Join the FB Luscombe group. The docs section has many approved 337s and other documentation that can help you. You should be able to find the documentation that says flying with both doors off is approved.

    Struggling with night landings

This is a good idea but with one caveat. When landing at night you must remember that the runway lights themselves are elevated above the runway. They create a visual plane that is about one foot above the runway surface. This leads to a tendency to flare and actually land on that elevated...

(Student pilot)Past dui not disclosed. Revocation faa!

The FAA may be the last remaining place in society where "YOU MUST TELL THE TRUTH. YOU MUST ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH. THERE ARE NO LITTLE WHITE LIES." The FAA is kind of like Jules in Pulp Fiction when you lie to them Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the...

Another strange day in the little yellow Vag-A-Bond

Oh my gosh, the controller will need to look out the window and maybe use their binoculars. The old guys have no problem doing this, the young guys - I'm not so sure.

What is going on here (Live ATC New York weird exchange)

There are many, many, many pilots and controllers who do not understand this distinction. Spend a few minutes listening to "opposing bases" and you'll find that these controllers believe that an aircraft in class "e" airspace is under their positive control airspace.

Ever Overfly the NYC Macy Day’s Fireworks?

I've always thought they were pretty cool. If the Wx is good one can often see fireworks from several different shows at the same time.

Any good landing tips while on final?

Look at the far end of the runway or at least further down the runway. When you look close to the nose of the aircraft things appear to be happening faster than they are in fact happening. Look further down the runway and you will get a better perspective. Landings are slow flight over the...
