    How long do investigations take?

Fatals take a long, long time; no injury investigations can take forever and a day, then you get to wait longer for the report. Seriously, GA fatal reports are taking linger than a year; lower injury and property damage levels are lower priority. No report after a year and a half in this...

    2 doors + low wings?

Wow! 55 AMU extra for 135 KTAS? That difference alone will buy an entire vintage Mooney, which will go faster, too. Just have to live with one door and not sitting like in the family minivan.

    Latest Technology for Instrument Checkride

Me too, tuning 430W with knobs. But I like paper charts, I don't have to zoom out to look ahead, then zoom in to read the writing and make sure I'm looking ahead at the right place, then zoom out and in again when I'm not.

    2 doors + low wings?

Two Mooneys: M20-U, Ovation Ultra; M20-V, Acclaim Ultra. They may accept a five-figure downpayment . . . . Mooney models were introduced in alphabetical order, not skipping many letters; there's a reason I fly an M20-C.

    Robocalls getting out of hand.

Hmmm . . . A quick check shows that 6PC started this thread two years ago, and recent posts show increased rates of robocalls and increased annoyance at them. AT&T's recent announcement of a fix was interrupted by a robocall. Question: someone said Europe doesn't have a robocall problem. How...

I'm not on facebook, so I just don't patronize businesses whose presence is facebook only. Give me a website if you want me to give you my money.

    Northern BBQ vs Southern BBQ

The first time my neighbor in central OH invited me over for barbecue [barbecue? "A" barbecue? I don't recall], he was cooking burgers and brats on the gas grill in his back yard . . . . .

We've cooked ribs in ours, but you sure can't call it "barbecue."

How do we know what's on the pilot's type rating when buying our tickets on line a month or two in advance??? Or even on the day of the flight over the phone?

    Northern BBQ vs Southern BBQ

The biggest difference I've noticed is that up North, "barbecue" is usually a verb, meaning "to cook food outside." In the South, "barbecue" is a noun, smoked or slow-cooked meat done over coals, often pork. Non-pork barbecue often has a modifier, such as "barbecue chicken" and "barbecue beef."...
