    PA-28 Fuel Pressure Drop

If it's in the green, more than .5 psi, you're ok in a PA-28. Mine routinely shows 2-3 psi. Turning on the fuel pump raised the psi to 4-5. Your friends plane is fine. I had my PA-28-180 at 12,500' last week and my fuel pressure was fine.

Depends on the value of the plane vs the cost of repairs. With only being belly skins (as far as I can tell) it's probably not totaled. Each state and insurance policy will determine the cost of repair vs cost of replacement %. Typically, you'll never get full value when your...

    "Akward Landing" at KASH

I agree about margin for error, but that may not have been a factor here as the article doesn't say. The insurance company only pays for the stuff damaged in the gear up, including a tear down if you have a prop strike. However, the insurance company WILL NOT buy you a new engine or give you...

Nope. No teardown unless the blades hit something and then it depends on what you hit, how severe, which engine....

    IFR Weekend Ground School

This is what I did for my PPL. Learned the material on my own and then used the weekend course to condense and put it all together for the test. I intend to do the same for Instrument, but using SheppardAir instead of Sporty's.

    Aerospace Logic not answering calls?

Curious, whatcha ordering from them? Also of note, someone from Aerospace Logic must be watching this forum or someone gave them a heads up because I got this email at 7pm last night "Your order has been released from manufacturing and is being processed for shipment."

    Aerospace Logic not answering calls?

Looks like their problems of responding to inquiries about paid for orders in 2017 hasn't gotten better in 2019.

    Aerospace Logic not answering calls?

I ordered a EGT/CHT gauge from Aerospace Logic in Canada almost a month ago and have yet to receive my product and multiple emails and phone calls have gone unanswered. Anyone had dealings with them? http://www.aerospacelogic.com/index.php

Update: The bench testing equipment at the avionics shop was out of calibration. My 430 was fine.

    You just got rear-ended.....

I routinely see people who "weren't injured" at the scene go the hospital days later with broken vertebrae, ribs, and torn spinal discs. Adrenaline is a real thing.

    You just got rear-ended.....

This is good. However, I'd up your Property Damage Liability. There are a lot of cars and trucks on the road that cost more than $50k. You have one small lapse in concentration and hit two 2019 Cadillac Escalades and your $50k gets eaten up quickly.

Umbrella policies as a rule are a must have if you have personal/business assets you want to protect. An umbrella UM/UIM policy are super cheap and may take care of you and your family in case of a catastrophe loss or injury.

Personal Injury Lawyer (Generic Legal) Thoughts for the group and original poster: Call your insurance agent today and buy/increase your Uninsured/Underinsured (UM/UIM) Motorist coverage as much as you can afford. About 5 times a month I have clients severely injured and the at fault party...

Flatlanders Up At 14,000 - Learned A Lot

Problem with the O2 being supplied by cans instead of a bottle connected to a cannula is if something goes wrong in the plane or your bottle gets lost under the seat right when you're already being effected by hypoxia you could become distracted correcting the plane problem. As you've learned...
