    BasicMed question

I do not believe that you are correct here as I just took the course. I have a SI for sleep apnea and high blood pressure. I'm going BasicMed because I've already dealt with them, but if you have some other condition that requires an SI, you need to deal with that outside of BaiscMed.

    BasicMed question

That's what I meant. I was asking if the dates are where that comes from once I submit it.

    BasicMed question

I've decided to go BasicMed, and I talked with my physician and he understands what needs to be done. My exam is in March and I've given him the documentation. I've completed the AOPA Medical Self-Assessment Online Course, but I haven't complete the last section because I haven't had the...

    Reasonable IR checkride question?

I'm not sure if the DPE was a dick or not, but it did get me thinking. On my iPad (and my computer), I have the latest FAR, AIM, PHAK, POH (and other plane specific manuals) and Chart User Guide. What other publications do you all peruse to stay current or study?

    Coast to Coast XC?

Only did it to see if you noticed. Now I can change it.

    Coast to Coast XC?

I went from NY to AZ in a 172 with two VFR pilots. Got stuck in Ohio for some weather. Hand flying all the way.

    AV Fuel Network Issues

They are currently upgrading systems. I was in Morehead KY on Saturday and they were changing the system to a new interface. It works much better than the systems that I would see all over the place. It uses a cellular signal or an FBOs wireless connection. Worked great for me. I was the...

    First flight in actual IMC...

I fully understand. For me though, I'd like to be in IMC with an instructor for the first time.

    First flight in actual IMC...

I guess it just blows me away that during IR training that you wouldn't have to have some training in actual. I'm going to start my training at some point, but I'm going to make sure that I do some actual before being on my own. And, I have lots of it here.

    Piper Archer\Cherokee 180

My post may have helped. Some great feedback and a possible plane for me to buy.

    Piper Archer\Cherokee 180

No, I’ve either missed on the good priced ones with good equipment or there aren’t a lot for sale. I love the Archer and 180.

    Piper Archer\Cherokee 180

If a person was stuck on getting a Piper Archer or Cherokee 180 (because he wants to buy a low wing, but fixed gear) and had about $60,000 to spend, where would you direct him for something similar, but not Piper to buy?

    Getting behind the airplane...

This is a fantastic topic and one of the reasons that I believe that when I start my IFR rating that I'm going to start with a good refresher in being a pilot. I do not fly "enough" so I'm always studying or asking questions. I'm a safe pilot by doing best practices, but I find that I'm...

    Cherokee 6 300 POH

I'm looking for a POH in PDF format that will cover serial number 32-7840133. The one that I found through a Google search is not complete. Does anyone have one in PDF format that they are willing to share? Thanks

    Was I being unreasonable?

I didn't want to start a new thread, but I'm curious as to whether there are a good number of pilots that fly without a medical, flight review or a certificate at all? I'm asking because a few years ago someone mentioned to me that many of the pilots in his fly-in community fly without a...

    182 feeling cramped.

I flew a 1976 P model for several years and no way is it small. I flew a lot with my dad and he's about 240 or so pounds and I'm 220. We never even came close to each other. I flew it with 4 adults with all kinds of stuff and still really roomy.

Piper Arrow II vs Piper Arrow III

II gross weight 2650 lb and III gross weight 2750 lb. I believe you could buy the II with the C1C6 engine though.
