I guess I am the odd one. I actually asked my CFI to be harder on me. I knew I was only flying one day a week at the time and wanted to make the most of my time and money. He never did get any harder on me with my flying, but keep he perfect attitude and teaching skills and I am a Sport Pilot...

Just to add, you can run FSX on Steam http://store.steampowered.com/ Not sure if steam works on Mac or just Windows, but since you have both. I have both X-Plane 10 and 11, split screen is just set up within the flight sim itself. Takes a few attempts to get things looking perfect.

I passed my check ride last night, so it is official I am now a paper carrying(as we know the card takes a while) Sport Pilot. I made a couple minor mistakes, but all went well. Including check ride I am at 35.8 hours and 88 landings. Not bad for really only flying once a week on Saturdays...

I recently purchased a Flightcom IIsx for $70 shipped that was still in the original package and all documents and cables. Got it off ebay and works great. (not selling mine, just giving reference) I like it, going to use it in my Cobra so I can talk if I have a passenger.
