creditkarma.com and creditsesame.com (different agency associations) are both 100% free and great resources. I've been using both for about 5 years now. You won't set off any alarms, but anything over 2 inquiries within 12 months starts to reduce your overall score.

The Amazon Chase card is great... 5% back on all amazon purchases.. it seems about every time I buy something I have $30-$50 credit waiting to use. 3% groceries/gas I think and 1% everywhere else. The APR was very competitive too.. I think 12% or something.

How would they know it was the same person? Certainly not first/last name.. I don't recall giving up my SSN/DL last time I flew.

There was a good percentage of posts here that directly stated an airline couldn't double sell a seat.. seemed pretty relevant. Besides, what better way to get this one to the 1k club. I'm curious - If I want to buy two seats for myself, Can I? Will the airline try to "bump" my empty seat?

How do you know that's what happened? My assumption is the older son purchased his own ticket. With change fees, it was probably cheaper that way. If this was a flight change the dad wouldn't be argueing the seat was paid for. I wonder what happens when a large person buys two seats and the...

Full stop (taxi, park, shut down at FBo) at a towered airport and then start up, call ground, etc.. Sadly never did this until I hit about 130 hours and was by myself.
