And sites such as this... http://www.exams4pilots.org/faatest.cgi Which work really well for practice, but have a lot of questions that are incorrect (or, the answers are incorrect) because the owner of the site has never updated. I actually suspect with this specific example that there are...

Agree 100%. Machado's book and Stick and Rudder are two of my favorites for that very reason. Very well put Jeff (about separating the discussions), thanks for that.

    Air India - Whoops

Spicy is ok with me most times. Raw chili peppers are more than a little too much for me, though.

    Kids at Christmas

Could have been me with the temperatures we've got, but our trampoline is nice and warm in the basement family room.

    Air India - Whoops

ANA has been good to me. Food can get odd, but not too bad. Better than some others. I agree though...when unsure, take the western meal!

NZ skydivers bail out over Lake Taupo as plane crashes

Very well could be their SOP, I wouldn't be one to argue that. I've only seen two, maybe three jumper planes land, and they weren't done like that. I would still not be sitting next to a pilot that did that, though. SOP or not, he's asking for trouble.

NZ skydivers bail out over Lake Taupo as plane crashes

Perhaps "rated" was the wrong word to use. And being that this is from a camera with a passenger happy to be moving it around, some things may not be as they seem. But what intrigues me is... -His initial "dive". It looks like he does a slight roll and short dive as soon as the jumpers bail...

    It Is Friday!

If we're sharing stories, it was also a long week over here. Busy at work, wrapping things up and getting ready for trip #1 this year (Frankfort, Dubai, Dublin, Leeds, London). But that's not the biggest PITA, it's just another day, another trip. Weekend after Christmas, hit a massive pothole...

How far do you drive to fly?

From the office, it's null. We are across the street from the airport and our hangar. From the house, 5-8 minutes. I should add...we've got 3 more GA airports within a 30 minute drive, another 6 within an hour drive, and a lot more within a 2 hour drive.

NZ skydivers bail out over Lake Taupo as plane crashes

Thanks for that. I can't find much info on that plane being aerobatic or not, except for this excerpt from Flying magazine in August 1962 (attached). There is an old POA thread about this plane here, but still not too much info: http://www.pilotsofamerica.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50900...

NZ skydivers bail out over Lake Taupo as plane crashes

Exactly what I was talking about. Nice! Fun to watch, looks crazy. Anyone have any idea if he's off his rocker, or if that's par for the course for that plane? I don't even know what kind of plane it is.

    Air India - Whoops

Funny story if you're interested. I was in India for about two weeks, and ready to come home. I am very easy when it comes to food, very flexible, and no problems abroad. But after a few weeks of only Indian food, I'm ready for some good stuff. I'm on the plane home (Air India Delhi-Chicago...

    Air India - Whoops

From my experience, AI is way, way, way worse. Not Air Egypt bad, but pretty darn bad. I've got about 200k miles with them and it wasn't because I was loving their service. You really cannot beat their pricing or scheduling (when on time!), but have to be prepared for the BS you're going to...
