    Reasons Why People Were Dumped

Pinky toe was longer than the others, and she loved sandals. I couldn't take it.

    John King Denied Medical

It's not about the material, it's about the presentation. Look at the difference in presentation from the UND Aerocast to King videos.

    Be careful with that stuff.

    John King Denied Medical

I cannot stand the King videos. They are so out of date and boring. But I have tremendous respect for the King's, as they have done amazing things for GA. I hope he gets this sorted out.

Can we quickly compare AOPA's Membership to EAA's

I'm a member of both. I think the mains have been discussed very well above, most of which I agree with, but I will share a different experience with EAA on the local chapter level. I lived down south for a while, and joined the local EAA Chapter at LZU. As Eppy knows, it's a great chapter...

What should a plane really cost?

I do not agree with the litigation increasing the cost of the final product so much, IF we are talking about defending themselves against potential lawsuits. There is deep and very affordable insurance for that, and there are businesses and manufacturers who have a much higher risk in litigation...

Spirit Airlines Capt and wife found dead Thur AM

Had one last night @2030. Medics were right around the corner so they were on scene pretty quick, by the time we got there with the rescue/squad, it was just over. I likely will not find out what the end result is unless somebody knows the patient personally.

Well, that's one way to compete against Emirates I suppose...

I don't want to hijack. It's a deep subject, though.

So, student pilots.. Who are we and where do we stand?

After a bit of a struggle with multiple CFI's and two different flight schools, I've managed to fly every single day this week! 1500-1700, MTWT. Scheduled for 1500-1700 tomorrow, 0600-0900 and 1400-1600 on Saturday, and 0630-0930 on Sunday. Don't know my total at the moment, but definitely...

Well, that's one way to compete against Emirates I suppose...

A lot of industries, I would fully agree with you. We manufacture equipment for fire and rescue. The face to face component, trade shows, conferences, and training, training, training, will never go away for us. They actually expand, change, and evolve, and for different reasons depending on...

Well, that's one way to compete against Emirates I suppose...

I can clearly see the point, and I believe in some situations and industries, the video conference, FaceTime, and other options have really taken root. We use it often for various things. But, it does not replace things that we absolutely have to be on location for. -You cannot hologram...

    Tips to CFI's?

Thanks! Again, I wasn't implying that I needed to, it's never come up, I've never heard of it, or seen it. I was just curious. If I hadn't of asked the question, my judgement would be along the lines of what everyone has posted. Pay for the time, be thankful, and a small gift or lunch or...

Student Question: Steam Gauge vs G1000

Just to clarify, I do think the G1000 is very cool! I'm not a computer whiz, and I know nothing about programming. But I like my devices, I'm into technology, and the G1000 is neat not only in how fun it is to use, but in the awesome power of options and tools it holds inside. My situation is...

    Sticky yoke

In the maintenance of the products we manufacture at work, which include a lot of metal with rugger o-rings and moving parts, we strongly advise to NOT use WD40 for sticky situations. The reason is that the WD40 is absorbed, swells the o-rings, and makes the movement even more difficult after...

    Expectations for Instructors and Schedules

Thanks, great input, and certainly valid. I believe my first mistake was giving a flight school a hefty deposit to save a few bucks per hour. Had I inquired here first before I did that, I'm quite sure the response would have been "Try them out before you give them a deposit." Lesson learned.

    Expectations for Instructors and Schedules

I have heard from a lot of others before pursuing this course of action that it completely depends on the student. Would you not agree? Anyway, my plan is not to really continue like this for both. I need to use up the credit at the flight school I have the large deposit with, and then I'll see...

    Tips to CFI's?

Hi All, Just curious...does anyone tip their CFI? I have not been asked for this, it hasn't been suggested, and I haven't seen it. It was just a question that popped up after I had one that really did a great job and I was very happy with. I wondered if this was a practice, especially after...

I just wish I could carry my water bottle with me, filled. It's hit and miss, some have relaxed it a bit, but that is one that has certainly never made sense to me.

Student Question: Steam Gauge vs G1000

After taking lessons in both steam gauge and G1000 equipped planes, I've figured out something. While the G1000 is "cool" and certainly has a lot of great advantages (too many to list even, I suppose), I have found that I actually fly better with my instructor when I'm in a steam gauge plane...
