I just recently went over 800 SMOH. TTAF is in the 2,700 - 2,800 range.
Oddly, the tach time is 160 hours less than the TTAF. That may be related to the fact that Yellowbird flew as a Cessna demo for the first year or so of her life. Every flight she flew is logged up until the time she was...
I had a hole punched in the fiberglass nosewheel fairing on my Cardinal. I patched it, but first I stripped it down to the bare fiberglass and applied a fresh coat of resin before patching. I then filled various dents, and primed/repainted.
Story and pics...
Actually, there was quite a lot of CGI in Dark Blue World. Some of it was retouched footage from other films, other parts were new. The extras on the DVD show how they did much of it.
I found a bird nest in the tail a few years ago. Had five eggs in it. I cleaned it out, removing enough nest material to fill an empty Aeroshell box, and the birds watching all the time from their perch on the fuel truck. A week later, they hade started another nest. I cleaned that one out and...
Here's mine:
I have the cradle mounted upside down, with the clip at the bottom. That puts the iPad's home button at the top.
And an inflight view without the ipad, showing how much of the panel it blocks:
I use a shorter arm (The tubular piece that connects the yoke clamp to the iPad bracket) so that the yoke clamp attaches to the yoke tube closer to the yoke. That keeps it from interfering with anything on the panel.
I've got the RAM yoke mount in my Cardinal. I have it set with the iPad in portrait position, and it almost fits between the "horns" of the yoke. It does block the view of the lower row of instrument gauges, but I can lean forward (!) to see them.
In previous versions, the map view could diplay only one type of overlay (VFR/IFR charts, radar, weather conditions) at a time. With the upgrade, you can display some overlays simultaneously: radar and VFR/IFR chart, AIRMETs and satellite, etc.)
Once you get past the intro and the ground school (Czech pilots learning English and RAF procedures) there are some good aerial action sequences:

I got the DVD several years ago. A very good story. Some of the flying scenes are CGI reworkings of footage from "Battle of Britain", but you'de be hard pressed to tell which ones.
After running a few fixes from the Apple foru, I finally got backups to run on iTunes on my desktop. That done, the iPad upgrade ran without any problems.
I tried updating the iPhone 4 on my WinXP desktop last night. First I upgraded iTunes to v10.5. The IOS upgrade took two hours to download. Then iTunes hung while the phone was backing up. I never could get it to complete a backup, and gave up on that approach.
I then tried the same on my...
I don't know about the download, but Amazon has several hard copies available through their partners: http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=flight+thru+instruments
