Harrison Ford lands on a taxiway @ SNA

"he nearly crashed his single-engine Husky plane into a Boeing 737 carrying 110 passengers" "he nearly caused his second serious plane crash in two years" "or even lose his license altogether after the near crash" This stuff is sickening. This type of hype is why I don't watch news and...

    Daily Pic

Not a great photo but the content is good. Decided to air-commute to work yesterday. Sure was a good way to start and end the day.

How is pulling a prop through safe?

Pulling the prop through can be same if you make sure the airplane can't move and you treat the engine like it will start every time. I don't "jump out of the way" but I make sure my body trends away from the propeller. I really enjoy hand propping an airplane. There is a classic, golden...

C-172 Crash in Northern San Diego - One Dead, Two Survivors

That's really unfortunate. I will be interested to see what the chain of events were that led up to the accident. Seems extra tragic the crash supposedly happened during practice engine out training. Also, can we get a round of applause for the journalist who wrote this? It seemed very...

Hahaha! It was 99% dead and the British guy beat it the remaining 1%. Did the British guy kill the horse?

    Prop as an air brake

Sure doesn't seem legitimate to me. I'm not scared of airplane engines though :)

Oh, the horrors, an engine failure 200' in the air on a 7200' runway

First solo out of the pattern and had to go pick up some drugs in Mexico, huh? Haha.

    DG is dying....

Let us know how the experience is from DFW Instruments. Just sent an artificial horizon off to Rudy's yesterday. I like them because they can fix almost anything regardless of age. A lot of companies won't touch old instruments. And it's a older husband and wife running the shop; I like...

    Part 135 Maintenance Questions

Purchasing an existing certificate is definitely the more efficient route to go from what I have heard. I also heard multiple titles can be held by the same person. Sure isn't a pile of paperwork I want to have to sift through.

    Airline frequent flier miles?

It was Delta that I looked at transferring miles within several years ago. And I think the miles cost was the "fee." Maybe they just didn't like me :(

    Part 135 Maintenance Questions

Gotta start somewhere. I avoid asking these kinds of questions on forums simply due to the image it creates for the poster. When I started to purchase a house everyone expected me to know trade terms, required documents, what all is included in a sale, etc. It made me look like a fool when I...

    Airline frequent flier miles?

Last time I looked into that, they miles were transferable but they lost half their value in the transfer.
