    Mounting IPad in 182

Todd: I used the double suction cup mount to mount it to the glass to the left side of the panel. I could let you borrow it to see if you like it.... heck, I'd even bring it to you if you stayed home long enough for us to fly over and eat with you! ML

    Got my airplane back today!

Stephen: care to share the source and costs of those biscuits? I’m looking at a sundowner that needs them replaced and my mechanic says a full set is very costly. ML

Will the new tax plan revitalize the Middle class and help Aviation?

Over spending is not a problem of only one political party. Both major parties overspend like they can print money whenever they want...... oh wait, that is what haopens. However, please pay attention in the coming weeks to who screams the loudest everytime a fiscally conservative gop member...

Will the new tax plan revitalize the Middle class and help Aviation?

While I agree that things don’t look promising for America in the long run as a result of years of overspending, the statement that allowing people to keep more of their own money through income tax reductions is a transfer of anything is ridiculously inaccurate. In fact, it is the opposite of...

    Help with lighting requirement ?

Yes. I'm aware of 91.205. As stated in my original post, I read the reg and it seems to require a beacon system... however, I've seen more than one older plane with position lights and no additional beacon system. So, I was trying to find out if I am misinterpreting something or just missing...

    Help with lighting requirement ?

I think I'm missing something when I read the FARs... For vfr night flying, what are the lighting requirements for plane certificated well before 1971? The way I'm reading the regs, there must be position lights and a beacon system of some sort... but I think I must be missing something...

    Cessna 182p tank siphoning

What are the possible causes for the left tank to drain into the right tank when fuel selector is set on both... to the point where right tank fills to overflowing? Happens when flying, not sitting. Thought the first time must have left the right cap loose but apparently that wasn't it. Fuel...

Needing some straight answers on color vision testing

You can take a letter from the doctor that specifically states he has passed one of the tests that the FAA allows and the AME will accept that instead of administering the test... that's what I did. I think I will attempt the soda route at some point but it works for now.

    Last questions

Wrapping up all the loose ends here and need to verify a couple things just to be sure: 1). Flying in on Wednesday morning (or Thursday)-- I do not need tickets in advance of arriving nor do I need to have pre-purchased camping, correct? 2) the rule against a small camp stove for coffee is, or...

    Aviation handheld connection question

I fly a 172 with one radio and I have a handheld for a back-up. I've been trying to figure out if there is a simple way to plug into both at the same time so that I can use the handheld to Monitor a second frequency. I haven't been able to locate a cord that allows it --- kinda the opppsite of...

    Memphis Class B

I'm a low time pilot so take my advice with a grain of salt: I've been through Memphis class B numerous times vfr and have never had any trouble whatsoever. I've flown directly across the runways north to south at 7,500 twice. And have been though the space just west of the runways both...

Houston area ways to fill time

I will be flying down to Houston next week and it looks like I will have the majority of the day Wednesday to entertain myself. This is probably a long shot, but does anybody have any particularly helpful information regarding the possibility off finding a good instructor for some...
