I fly skydivers here in the Midwest and our dropzone is surrounded by cornfields. We are constantly having near misses despite doing everything we can to work with the aerial applicators. Bunch of cowboys giving pilots a bad name.

Anyone in Scholler? How is it looking? We are all packed up and meant to arrive Saturday but now delayed until late Sunday arrival. Worried I’m going to be parking the camper on the interstate!

I wouldnt have a problem if they actually spent the cash lobbying. Why do they need to sit with so much cash in reserve? What is it right now? $50mil? EAA seems to get more done and is more responsible with members cash, (and I say that as someone who is not a fan of Pelton)

Without looking I would be surprised if it needed less than $50k in work. We flew them at my old job and they were complete money pits, and we were paying almost double that price to buy.

Looks like you are in my neck of the woods. If you want to get together I can take a look at it with you and help with the sale. Also, there are several EAA chapters around Indy, so several homebuilders around who would be very interested im sure.

I’m in Indy. Most of the local airports are packed and they jack up the fees during the weekend. Perhaps take a look at 2R2. A little further out of town, perhaps 20-25min drive to the speedway? EYE is about a 10min drive but can be busier (great seafood restaurant on the field though!)

Is this going to be kid friendly? Normally we won’t go to evening events but we are from Louisiana so Jambalaya sounds great!

Is Scholler letting the refugees come back from the parking lots yet?

The problem is the taxi route over there was getting rutted up pretty badly apparently.

I actually just got hold of someone at EAA in camp and they said it’s unlikely that any campers will be allowed in today and tomorrow is 50/50.

Pretty sure they were all booked weeks ago.

Have you been through Scholler? We are trying to find out if we can get in today. I struggle to believe at this point they can’t let anybody in.

Listening to Fisk approach they are still turning people away without tundra tires or hard parking reservation. Campsite still closed.

Yup Scholler is still closed to new arrivals. We were sent to the old shopping center car park. There is at least 100 RVs here. They have started letting tent campers in but no RVs or Travel Trailers yet. I’m dreading the rush when they finally open again.

I’m talking about In the clouds with no vis at all. I thought being on top with no ground reference didn’t count as actual? The pics were after we broke out on that XC. 3.4 total, 1.7 actual. Was a fun day.

Try and plan it for a real IFR day and pick up some actual time, it makes it much more rewarding! I just knocked out my Long XC last week and manged to clock up 1.7 actual and had a blast. Its completely different from flying under the hood. Plus the views on top are awesome!
