The statistic i heard is that if the US suddenly converted all cars to electric we would have to triple our electricity generation. I have a strange feeling it wont be all be hydro, solar and wind making up the difference.

Sure I get that. I like that aspect too, but I do search for technical answers first, so I usually don’t repeat a question word for word. And the answers to a lot of questions change over time. But sometimes the off-topic or attempts at funny answers derail a thread before many serious...

The only other board I frequent is heavily moderated. I actually really like that aspect. It makes it easier to find good information. It has no off-topic forum.
