The perfect plane ever came on the market and my heart is racing.

Regardless of who has the money now is irrelevant. Whatever money you think you have will be gone. Where? In the plane. Trust me, I know. Most of us here do. It's OK. It's a great addiction. Good luck.

To my understanding Shepherd is updated as well. You may want to give them a quick call to confirm. This is how they make their money so im sure its up to date.

Sheppard Air. Study hard for a week. Retake. I scored a 98. You will easily pass it if you follow their instructions. Go and get the other study guides as well amd save a few bucks if you plan on a career.

Single Owner and LLC .. worth it?

Not expensive at all. Each LLC I do is 125 plus filing fees - then you have annual resident agent fees.. Structure is key. Knowledge is power. At least that's what they tell me.

Single Owner and LLC .. worth it?

In any event - to the OP: As I said - don't listen to a bunch of pilots. You heard every opinion in the book. What works for me - works for me. I paid a lot of money for the protection I have. Some say it wont work - again, another opinion. Do what I DO - LISTEN TO YOUR LAWYER - nobody...

Single Owner and LLC .. worth it?

Citizen. . Very true. I am talking about structuring (properly and legally) a way to protect your assets. Does the way my lawyer did it work? YUP - his clients have been sued countless times yet his clients seem to keep their assests. Think about it like this: If a Family Trust owns an LLC...

Single Owner and LLC .. worth it?

I have a parachute with a little red handle on it :) And yes I know your response was not aimed at me. I meant to to quote Citizen500

Single Owner and LLC .. worth it?

I probably should not share this on a public forum but I honestly could care less as nobody is after me :) We use an "early warning system". I own a very small, cheap condo - this condo is my "home" all my mail, drivers license, FAA stuff all goes here. I have it mortgaged. I have a bank...

Single Owner and LLC .. worth it?

Correct. That's why I don't own the LLC :) I get sued - the LLC is owned by a trust or another LLC. Yes people can dig through the layers but we add new layers before the old ones are subpoenaed.

Single Owner and LLC .. worth it?

Yes, true. But never use a single member LLC. No reason for it. Structure it with different LLC's, trusts, etc.

Single Owner and LLC .. worth it?

Yes my assets were transferred well over a decade ago. My main source of income is trading (stocks, options, and futures) that is all LLC owned. LLC's are then owned by other entities and trusts - all 100 percent legal. Like I said - there is NOTHING guaranteed in the asset protection world, I...

Single Owner and LLC .. worth it?

Yes. I know all about fraudulent conveyance. I am not under any legal or civil matter or know of anything pending. Therefore we did/do this 100 percent legal. As long as it is set up properly at the correct time its all good. The problems come when people try to do this after the fact. At that...

Single Owner and LLC .. worth it?

Yes. Listen to your attorney. Not a bunch of pilots. For me there is no other way. My properry is all owned under Florida Land Trust with out of state LLC as trustee Everything else i have has at least two layers. My personal bank account has maybe 200 bucks. Its my early-warning system. Thats...

Single Owner and LLC .. worth it?

See it like this. Your LLC owns the plane. You are in your car and you kill someone. They sue. They win. If properly structured they cant take the plane as its not owned by you. We use several layers of LLC and trusts to protect my family's assets. Go through one bad law suit and trust me...

What do you folks think of the new Cessna TTx

I've always wanted to fly one. There's one on the field but never had a chance to talk to the guy. I concur with MetalCloud - if Cirrus wasn't around I think that's what I'd fly. Or maybe a Diamond :) Those are pretty sweet too.
