viability of GA for work question...

This is a future possibility, and I am trying to wrap my head around incorporating this into my goals - or just letting it go. If I am going to travel a lot, I would like to be in control of the time and risk as much as possible. I would also like to be able to hit multiple cities easily...

    F-18s low over Nashville

3 of them in tight formation over East Nashville... I would guess well under 1500AGL . -maybe headed into BNA - but they were excruciatingly loud with the low cloud cover.

    Local Pilot Critical

All the best to the incident pilot and his family. Rick Finney's actions are to be celebrated - and I think that is an understatement. If I ever meet him, I'm going to buy that man a dinner at his favorite restaurant.

    Pushing Tin

... well, I was surprised to really like BBT's character,... so when Cusak's character slept with Jolie's, I turned it off and called it a night. ... not sure why - just wasn't in the mood for the drama. "Dr. Freeze" was, again, darkly funny. and... I did like how they extruded the scope...

    Pushing Tin

"You land a million planes safely and then you have one little mid-air, and you never hear the end of it." (or something like that) -just started watching, and I've never seen it. That quote struck me pure wit with some dark fatalistic humor on top. Hope the rest is as good.

    Cement Pumper Trucks

My guess: You can pour more concrete over a longer distance, faster, with less men working it. -important whenever you are blocking a lane of a street. You also never end up with a wasted load because someone missed the "unusual" spec for a pumper on "this particular segment" of sidewalk...

    "1. Drive The Truck"...

We all know the stories of folks as smart or smarter than us who have allowed non-urgent events in the airplane turn into a fatal event... by failing to continue to fly the plane. Yesterday I was running hard to get a project back on time... At 3:45pm, I "found" lunch... (Some collection of...

    Caption this:

I would think getting hit by a train would seem kind compared to having a secure hold on the end of a hose that got snagged by one going at a good speed. :yikes:

    Plane down in Denton, TX

... on women and freedom. Some folks are raised in a way as to be more passive than others. I, personally would like everyone to have a very healthy assertiveness. That's a pipe dream. Take care of everyone under your charge to the best of your ability - make sure they are...

    Seminole Down Near Brunswick, GA

ATP's safety record is par for the course as I understand it. - above the average pilot pool. The deal is that when you earn your CFI, everyone goes to Jacksonville to "train" to standards as an ATP CFI - then time-building... as a CFI for at one of ATP's schools (or elsewhere if you get a...

    TBM-700 down in Colorado

If it was in a flat spin, what wrong moves in an icing situation would put a TBM-700 in a flat spin? (or is that just what happens when you turn a fast, low-wing plane into a brick?) or... does the witness report seem reasonable ... probable?

    New Information On MH 370

Engine-Out Glide Question: If a well-trained "pilot" was flying a rehearsed mission, would it be possible to power down the RR Trent engines in flight (thus originating the last ping) and then glide a rehearsed, trained glide path on battery power - 100 or so miles to a landing site...
